More about the Event

The Pennsylvania Heritage Foundation is the nonprofit partner of the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC), the commonwealth’s history agency. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting PHMC to preserve, share, and celebrate Pennsylvania’s past, inspiring others to value and use our history in meaningful ways.

This fundraiser highlights Pennsylvania's roots in agriculture, the Commonwealth's largest industry, with farm-to-table foods. The afternoon will include an array of Pennsylvania- grown produce and locally made treats in the form of a grazing table and a selection of wine from The Winery at Hunters Valley.

Enjoy the beautiful setting on the west bank of the Susquehanna River with an additional glass of wine, chocolate sweets from Pennsylvania chocolatiers and submit your bid on our silent auction items that showcase the "best of" Pennsylvania's experiences, products and activities.

Additional glasses of wine will be available for purchase. Water and non-alcoholic options will be complimentary.

Jonathan Frazier

Jonathan lives, performs, and paints in the Gettysburg and Harrisburg area. He will play piano selections to lend to the atmosphere, with a few fun surprises along the way.

Jonathan has a prior connection with the PHMC in the form of rendering numerous interior ink illustrations for their publication, "First Pennsylvanians", written by Dr. Kurt Carr, head of Archeology at the time. Handling old stone artifacts in the state's collection provided him a tangible connection to the long distant past of those along the river.

Some of that influence will surface in Jonathan's performance at Sip & Savor as he incorporates a few Native American style flutes from his collection. Guests are invited to imagine a time long ago when such music may have been played along these very same banks of the Susquehanna as tribes made their seasonal migrations.

In addition to performing in a variety of venues on a variety of instruments, Jonathan is also an oil painter, showing his vibrantly colored canvases of the Susquehanna and nearby landscapes. He also ventures to New Orleans to paint, and soak in the warmth and music.
