Historic Ephrata Cloister

Candlelight Open House

Saturday, November 30, 2024
5pm

Step back in time and explore the historic buildings of Ephrata Cloister illuminated by candlelight. As you tour the grounds, local craftspeople will be on hand to share their stories and display their wares—an excellent opportunity to find one-of-a-kind, beautifully crafted Christmas gifts at our Museum Store. Please note that more details on artisans and demonstrators will be announced soon.

The Ephrata Cloister Chorus, accompanied by guest musicians, will perform in the 1741 Saal at 5:30pm, 6:30pm, and 7:30pm. Seating is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Throughout the evening, costumed guides and historic demonstrators will welcome you into the historic buildings, immersing you in the 18th-century atmosphere. Historic interpreters and members of the Revolutionary War era group, Clotz’s Battalion of the Flying Camp will be onsite. After your tour, stop and the food trucks and explore the exhibit in the Visitor Center.

Admission to Candlelight Open House is $8/person, ages 5 and up. Tickets will be available on November 1st for purchase online in advance or in-person at the door on the day of the event. Click here to purchase.
